Operation Instructions

Initial Setup

1. Power On: Display flashes 1:00 PM; press any key to activate.
2. Set Day/Time: Press Set Current Day/Time; select day (Mon-Sun) with Day key; adjust time with Time keys; enable DST if needed; press Run Program.
3. Set Mode/Fan: System: Heat/Cool/Off/Auto/Em Ht; Fan: Auto/On.
4. Program Schedule: Press Program; set periods/times/setpoints/fan; use preprogrammed defaults or customize.

Home Screen Navigation

1. Display: Day/time, period, room temp, setpoints, system/fan icons, filter status, low battery.
2. Controls: Increase/Decrease for temp; Information key (cycles outdoor temp, setpoints, filter); Program for schedule; Hold Temp for overrides; System/Fan keys.
3. Indicators: Flame/snowflake for heat/cool; "Hold"/"Temporary"; Filter flashing; "Em Ht"/"Aux" for emergency/aux heat.

Operating Modes

1. Heat: Activates heat when below setpoint; flame icon.
2. Cool: Activates cool when above setpoint (after lockout); snowflake icon.
3. Auto: Switches heat/cool with deadband.
4. Off: No operation.
5. Em Heat: Uses auxiliary heat; bypasses compressor.
6. Fan: Auto (with calls) or On (continuous).

Settings Screen

1. Access: Press Program for schedule; Filter for timer.
2. Scheduling: 7-day/24-hour/constant; edit periods (times 15-min increments, setpoints, fan); copy/clear days.
3. Filter Reset: Press Filter; hold 3s to reset/set days (0-360).
4. Overrides: Temporary Hold (until next period), indefinite, vacation (1-255 days).
5. Scale/Clock: Dealer-set (°F/°C, 12/24-hr); DST enable.

Advanced Features

1. Adaptive Recovery: Starts early to reach setpoint on time; learns over 4-8 days.
2. Comfort-R: Balances temp/humidity.
3. Vacation Mode: Holds setpoints for specified days.
4. Outdoor Display: If equipped, via Information key.
5. Aux/Em Heat: Auto-activates if needed; manual Em Ht mode.

Configuration Options

  1. Mount wallplate horizontally; connect wires per diagram.
  2. Power up; enter Installer Setup (hold Increase): Set system type (heat pump), changeover (auto), fan (gas/electric), cycle rates, min off time (5 min), compressor protection, DST, accessory output.
  3. Review settings; exit with Run Program.
  4. Perform self-test: Heat/Cool/Em Heat/Fan/Aux/Filter/Comfort-R.
  5. Set user day/time/program.
